NCS Alliance Lighthouses - Leading the way for investing in nature
Description
Introducing the Natural Climate Solutions Alliance's Lighthouses! Selected based on rigorous screening criteria, they shine a light on what is possible when we invest in nature. The Lighthouses are examples of how NCS can contribute to the conservation of biodiversity and bring benefits to local communities and indigenous peoples. Using a storytelling approach to highlight the humans behind the success, this event will demonstrate the importance of making visible the best practice – why these initiatives? And why now? Join us for the launch of these inspirational Lighthouses.
In this morning launch, representatives will be joining us from the following Lighthouses:
Sumatra Merang Peatland Project (Indonesia), presented by Jeffrey Chatelier
Katingan Mentaya Project (Indonesia), presented by Dharsano Hartano
Luangwa Community Forests Project (Zambia)
